Accepting Students in January 2019
Hālau Hula Ka No‘eau is dedicated to maintaining the dance style of the hula ku‘i and the traditional teachings of our dance matriarch Maiki Aiu Lake. The hālau was founded in 1986, by Kumu Hula Michael Pili Pang and has been a leader in showcasing hula through concert performances, touring, lectures and teaching the Hawaiian arts.
New Adult Classes
Adult meet every Thursday at 6pm. Classes will begin, Thursday, January 10, at 6pm.
New Children Classes
Children classes meet every Saturday. Ages 6-8 meet at 9am. Ages 9-12 meet at 10am. Classes will begin, Saturday, January 12.
Location
Classes are held at 908 Punahou Street, Honolulu.

Hālau Hula Ka No‘eau performed at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa, CA and the Grand Theatre in Tracy, CA.
Kamaʻāina and visitors are invited to enjoy ʻIolani Palace by moonlight during the Queen Kapiʻolani Evening Tours on December 27, 28 and 29. On these three nights, guests will have the opportunity to take a trip back in time and experience the Palace as it was during a 19th-century soiree hosted by the Hawaiian monarchs.
Kumu Hula Michael Pili Pang’s anniversary celebration weaves together hula, chants, and music in order to huliau—to look back to the future, to look back in order to move forward.
Hālau Hula Ka No‘ea is performing at the Royan Hawaiian Shopping Center stage every Saturday at 5:30pm for the month of April. We hope to see you there!
E Kanikapila Kakou 2022 - “Celebrating EKK” presents the best Hawaiian music every Monday night from March 21-May 30 from 5:00-8:30pm at Kauai Beach Resort Jasmine Ballroom. Event is open to the public.
