Kamaʻāina and visitors are invited to enjoy ʻIolani Palace by moonlight during the Queen Kapiʻolani Evening Tours on December 27, 28 and 29. On these three nights, guests will have the opportunity to take a trip back in time and experience the Palace as it was during a 19th-century soiree hosted by the Hawaiian monarchs.

As the Queen’s birthday takes place on Dec. 31, the Palace will be adorned with shimmering decorations and music will swell throughout the halls as it would at King Kalakaua’s holiday soirees.

We had a successful fundraiser with silent auction, raffles, bake sale, plant sale, hana no ‘eau, music, hula, and of course pancakes! See you next year around the same time, and most likely the same place.

A research study of the transfer of knowledge from a native Hawaiian culture perspective, examining the traditional hula community-based teaching methodology juxtaposed with modern day technology.
